my little brothers

baby B is the kicker. he wouldn't stop moving for the doctor. all that exercise and he still weighs in at a whopping 1 lb. 14 oz.

he looks like skeletor here, ribs at bottom head at top and facing camera with smile (and brother foot kicking him already).

baby A looks great and weighs more than his brother (2 lbs. 4 oz!). they took more detailed pictures of him and thankfully he looks just perfect, just like his big brother matty.

and thank you aunt joan and uncle roger for babysitting so vincent could go to this appointment. come back in june and stay for a week!

christmas in virginia

christmas started and ended with gifts. i am now being weaned off the gifts-every-day mentality i learned over the past week.

i really, really, really liked aunt KK's special holiday chex mix. does it ship well? you have our address, right?
hmmm, watch out uncle scott.

(and also reason 632 why m&d do not want a house)
aunt ninny is mad that i know how to play the kiss-up/thank you-hug game. she forgets how smart i am.
not sure who is more buried in presents, me .... ...or KK?

(i say Kk considering i went to bed before opening all my gifts. which is also reason 465 for scott and nicole not to give me a cousin soon.)

we really feel blessed this year, thank you to all of our family for making christmas such a special season for us!

twas the night before...

..and you would think i did NOT want santa to come by the way i was acting. after screaming in the bath tub for 10 minutes, i finally settled down when i saw this in my room:

to make up for my earlier outbursts, i made some whoopi pies for santa. and tested them. yup, they're good!

i made daddy dance to christmas music

and decided to "boing" the babies for a little while

(this is so no one is shocked that mommy actually looks 32 weeks pregnant.)

early christmas for mama

..not only did daddy put me to bed last night, he woke up with me too! mommy called this a true miracle. i was just shocked to see him so early.

i was a good sheep at our christmas pageant dress rehearsal...

..but when the parents came, no way. i wanted my daddy to hug me.
i was a better camel
and of course behaved very well during the party.
santa claus is coming tonight so i am on my best behavior today!

3 days until santa!

(at least here in boston!!)

i have been super-busy practicing for our christmas pageant at school, and enjoying the last few mild days outside (we now consider high 30's and low 40's mild), and asking mom and dad 1,000 times a day when santa is coming and if he will be bringing me a garbage truck and a purple puppy!

i actually fell asleep like this on sunday

i still have time to be silly with mom
and thank goodness for that, because silly-time is her favorite time!

winter weather is finally here. so back to long visits to the science museum...

...and throwing snow. at least i seem to be immune from the cold while mom freezes her buns off. this is how i draw my family. we learned in school. (mom drew the red circles but i usually do it myself.)
