the professor

i may look brilliant here, playing doctor at the museum of science yesterday, but shortly after this shot i stood on my chair in the lunchroom and peed in my pants.

the good news is, it was my last accident...over 24 hours now...including my first overnight diaper-free.

the bad news is, i threw up a bit ago and proceeded to pass out on mommy's bed with a small temperature.

*I am just waking up now and did not pee even with a stomach bug!

we are off to the sunshine state tomorrow in search of some summer sun. be back next week.

father's day (belated)

daddy wanted to go to the museum of fine arts. i didn't really want to go so we did not make it much further than this welcome statue: but after a loooong, slooow walk in the rain/drizzle/mist/sprinkle..
..we treated him to dessert after lunch!

BIG (literally) boy

i am officially a BIG boy. no more diapers.

(and mom is offically going gray. especially after i stood on my chair at the museum of science and peed at lunch today!)

really, i've only had a few accidents and these are my favorite underpants:

but the "MM" rewards are taking their toll on my belly! thankfully i hear the sun is finally making a comeback so i can run it off at the playground!

so happy aunt dee came to boston to visit with us..we even let her walk around in the rain!!

thank goodness for the (warm, dry) science museum.later, when the sun came out i showed gigi how to splash in the "pubbles".
i gleefully posed with the ladies in copley square and
the public garden.

(by the way, isn't spring simply beautiful? maybe just more so after such a loooong, coooold winter) after walking, walking, and walking some more...we finally came home to rest.
hopefully everyone slept as well as i did!

the brief glimpse of sun

splash-pool time with my friend roshin. we ran and splished and splashed and shared and then ran some more.. ..then:

brisk boat ride

after a chilly boat ride and a damp afternoon spent exploring georges island..

.. mom and i had a snuggly snooze

formula for sleep

mom and dad finally figured out how to get me to sleep in on sundays...

wake at 7 and play alphabet, color and number games with mom for an hour (while daddy sleeps in)

eat a hearty breakfast of pancakes, sausages and pears

take a 4 mile bike ride to castle island for a picnic and let me climb the playground, run around the fort...

..and teach me to roll up and down hills a couple dozen times...

then bike another 4 miles home and rest for an hour with tom and jerry (and a beer for mom and dad)

walk a mile or so to the hardware store over beacon hill, stopping for a while on our way back at my favorite playgound

feed me spaghetti, pizza and clams for dinner

warm bath, warm milk and a mile or so stroll down the charles at sunset to an outdoor concert where i can rock out

walk home with a little lift from dad

asleep by 10pm and i will sleep in until 830am!! now if i could only wake up m&d...i'm hungry again

we got stuck in the rain on the way home from the market.

mom let me pick out some plants and we put them into new pots on the balcony. we only made a medium-sized mess!

this was yesterday--rolling around the public garden.

mom: (in raised voice as she catches me squirting my juice box on the ottoman) "matty!"

me: (jumping up with arms in air wearing my most perfect smile) "i wanna huggie!"

we love spring!

i got to TOUCH-A-TRUCK

the wonderful mothers of charlestown organize an annual touch-a-truck. and boy, this was my dream come true!

i worked in an ambulance--"goin' to the hobbits-able"..

..took a ride in a limousine..
..no george though.

i drove an army jeep..
..and after climbing in and on trackers, buses, a garbage truck, and some emergency vehicles, the policeman even let us play with potter the sniffer dog! but boy was i thirsty when we got home!

but where were they tuesday? mom said if i ran around singing with my arms up they would come on...but it didn't work but she got a good giggle!
