more fun

this is our little crew. we went to the zoo last week and this was the only minute everyone stood still.

we also spent a day at a playground in brookline. these guys loved it.

and they had the water on! between the four cars we found a few extra shorts, tees and diapers, and were all set.

went to battleship cove in fall river for fathers day

at first they tried giving dad a break.

but they switched after mom collapsed. why don't they just walk??

ben was afraid of this boat. until he tried to knock it over.

real fun is lugging a wiggling two year old up and down these stairs. 35 times. in cute sandals. thankfully matt walks.

and they had a carousel.

and after a scrumptious lunch with snoozing toddlers and a well-behaved five-and-a-half year old, we spent an hour throwing rocks into the water.

and relaxing.

so much time to fill

we've been squeezing in as many swim lesons for matt as possible before camps start. not too bad as we tend to spend a few hours at the pool afterwards.

 oh and it seems to be working. this is the boy who as recently as december would squeal in bath if a droplet of water touched his eye:

we enjoyed a calm 2.5 minutes at canobie lake park on mother's day.

and then the wellesley wonderful weekend rolled into town. seriously, i have been waiting a year for this small town awesomeness.

 we decked out and the boys watched the whole parade, almost two and a half hours.  

 waiting for a float that threw candy.

 was a little hot.

the police station opened for tours too. and fed us hot dogs and ice cream. matt's girlfriend from school was there. he and jayden have the same birthday and he thinks that is great. and she is cute.

 these guys would fit right in here.  

 ben ate four bags of chips. and wouldn't leave the back of the van.

and last week was a custom auto show. hog heaven for my big one.

and just a preview of the big show this weekend!!! mom is even excited to go again. especially since our neighbor with the 5 hot rods/custom cars will have a tent.

these guys are just the bestest of little brother friends. they say, "jackie's turn!"

 and "benny's turn!"

a year after moving out of boston, we have found our home. great friends, great community and it definitely helps that the boys sleep better.

summer

ready, set....

 yeah for summer!

 don't worry i did not let the little girls or boys jump...

this was matt's last day or preschool. we celebrated with pizza, friends and lots of tears from the mamas.

and then we went back one last time for a special performance. this was the only picture. can you guess why? 

 had something to do with these two. who seem skeptical of the chuck e cheese band this week.

 ben has grown into quite the sleeper. so long as he's snuggled into my brand new, ivory bedding. i'll take what i can get.

 and this sweet child seems to be turning into a typical two-year old. still sweet, but a lot fiestier.

matty will always love touch-a-truck shows. i imagine him crying as a junior high schooler because the line is too long for the oil rig.  

 these guys like trucks too. shoes not so much. summer weather, a whole lot!

 matt earned a couple of new cars and spent 20 minutes deciding between the jungle adventure pack and the varied police car pack. 20 minutes. tears. pleading for me to decide. a couple of last minutes switches at the register and we opted for jungle pack. i am truly shocked we do not own them all yet.

after several rainy days the sun made an appearance after dinner yesterday so we postponed bathtime and decided to roll over to a playground to soak up some D. 

 and made sure bathtime was worth it.
