5 nights in virginia

plane travel with three little boys is not what i'd call fun. so we decided to distance the time between travel days. luckiest grandparents ever (sarcastically).

this is not the face my sweet boy. planes make him wilder.

matt had to sit alone (or with a new "friend") on all four of our flights. so brave. so smart of his mom to point out that he will not have to share the ipad with his brothers...

oddly, the easiest traveler was...ben!

 thank you gigi and peepop for a wonderful time. and i think me and the kids are good on clothes for the next several months--thank you! and we'd like to book again at the end of may! and mid-july. possibly early september.

 best shot. probably best to attempt this in the morning next time.

scooters and other fun.

scootering around wellesley college is our new fun. contrary to these pictures, all three of the kiddies seem to love it. except learning that you can not scooter without a helmet.

 we met dad walking through. thank goodness. it is a heavy load with two screamers,  three scooters and a stroller.

 matt and another pal coloring easter eggs. his friend sam's two middle school-aged brothers hosted an egg hunt for matt, three friends and four little siblings. they are in middle school and just darling. i wish their mom would raise my guys.

 easter morning the bunny hid eggs all over. they thought it was a riot. matt hasn't slept soundly since finding one under his pillow.

and yes, tooth fairy brought a car.

too bad it was not the cavity tooth. yes, cavity. talk about mama guilt.

 i'm not sure when this little guy became a kid...

..but i like it. no more crying when he falls.

   not even when i beat him at uno. (i really tried to lose a few times...)

now let's just slow down time a little please. and keep him in a school where there are no lockers or watering fountains. yes, i was the weepy one at kindergarten orientation.
