lovin' chobani

notice jack's 12 beautiful teeth! and the matching bite mark on ben's arm in last post...
ben still has only two teeth. even after the buckets of drool last week. must have been a sore throat from the latest sickness (pretty certain since it was passed along to mama. again.)

cars

so the bed was moved up this weekend. yes, we have a loft bed now. it is a much nicer place to spend his ten minute timeouts.
he was just a little bit excited the first night.
then we found an antique car show at a wonderful park up the road.
heaven for this guy. until the heat forced a true meltdown and we left with a screamer.
jack seems to be a mini car enthusiast. or he just mimics his big brother running from car to car and squealing.
 ben...not so much
he seems most peaceful playing in the sand and at the koi pond.
elm bank is a true gem in wellesley.

ahhhhh

the boys managed to pick up a virus. yup. in summer. so we spent a day doing this and
 this.
only one puker, lots of fevers and thankfully many naps. ben calmed down in front of the window. not the same view as in boston, but he did not mind.
and then the help arrived! ahhhhhhh....
we went to ny for a quickie visit too.
lots of help for a tired mama.
and lots of fun at hoffmans.

thank you all for the break! much needed and now much reenergized!

worst. ever.

baby shark song. over and over and over.

we will bring it back to NY...
matt had "so much fun" with uncle vic, aunt joan and jenn! thanks for stopping over.

ok, ok

i have a babe in lap, a babr at feet and a boy trying to cut the tag off the couch that was delivered twenty minute ago. with scissors. but ro threatened us if we did not put up some new pictures....
the guys love the new bath..
 mom likes the tile.

we stop by magic beans a lot. just for playing...
i swear matty said he wants to take gigi there.
 feed time.
father's day consisted of trip to home depot, a walk through town...
some whoopie pies
 and new grill gear.

and we're in..

i seriously have no pictures of the house in its pristine move in condition except for these two. stairwell #1 which was where vincent and i exerted all of our energy the first day and also why we have no pictures. it is now gated at top and bottom. you'd think they never saw stairs before...
and the fireplace. i know, very ornate is not really our style, but it is gorgeous.
the entire home is beautiful. the master bath, my favorite. i feel like i am showering in a fabulous hotel, about to step into a fluffy white robe to enjoy breakfast on the terrace. with champagne. which of course overlooks the champs-elysees.
then i realize i have to carry the kids down the stairs and that i am room service..but it is great while it lasts.

and the most beautiful part, the boys:
it was 90+ degrees the day before the move so the city graciously opened the splash park on storrow. this was not heat stroke, just exhaustion.
 he did recover.
ben cooled off at the spray.
and was his usual self, perched on the edge.
moving day. with three little ones. best done at matt's school for graduation and party. came back to not much left.
 our new playgrounds are awesome.
 monkey see...
ben was a little clingy for a couple of days, but that was it. they are all adjusted. i am all adjusted. and vincent is on the train, adjusting.
now back to the list. the super gigantic list of things we need. to do and purchase. but we have a brand new sandbox, three 50 lb. bags of sand and a shiny plastic baby pool on the deck. fun first, right?

and we're off

it's a nice day to buy a home, right? while i spend the next few hours/days panicking...here is how we have spent the last few. (trying to pack in as much fun as possible before leaving the best city in the world)
sunday was our 3rd touch-a-truck!
and while jack and matt climbed up all over buses, duck mobiles, construction trucks...
 ..ben chased around his balloon

then we wandered around town....the south end

 ..back bay...

 ...public garden

and our 'hood of course. i hope we always remember that engine 4 was "our" first fire engine.
the flag put up after UBL was killed out front in the construction that is slated to be completed on monday.
the "blue" playground on the esplanade
matt was a little older than these guys when we moved here.
can you tell i am going to miss living in boston?
matt watching the bridge whose alarm we hear all the time. with the "max bridge" in the background. "there's my bridge!"
"mom, what's the black and white thing?"
"it's a goose."
"no, it's not."
repeat twenty times.
and he was right! it was an elle dog!
and we even found something new around the corner.
god, we had fun here.
