ahhh...

the weather has been great. and someone donated this awesome truck to my favorite playground. and mom brought me there at 8:30am friday to make sure i could play with it alone. no joke. she rocks.

one of my brothers likes green beans..
..the other one does not.
this is ben 10 minutes after waking mom up at 4:45 (every day).
this is why she starts the coffee. wide awake jack at 5am. every day.
a police office brought his car to myrtle street to show us how it works. he let me ring the siren.

my brothers love going to the playgrounds. they are so easy going. a little swing and a lot of snuggles, and they are happy

4 months

2 babies + 3 shots each = not happy little guys. this cute photo was taken just before we left...
jack is 25th percentile weighing 13 lb 9 oz.
ben is 70th percentile and weighs 15 lb 11 oz.
both healthy looking and happy. doc says "they are doing great. keep it up supermom." what a nice doctor :)

post-appointment jack went for a john deere ride while ben slept it off..
..and then ben rolled around while jack power-napped.
and later mom achieved the rare triple-nap* on the way back from whole foods. is this really how she looks walking around town? no wonder she gets so many sympathetic "you must have your hands full" comments.
and she was stung - again - by a bee. note swollen arm.
*so jack was not really asleep but i am taking it because he was quiet and content after hours of crying. thank goodness, no more shots until spetember.

ben hanging out at myrtle street playground this morning. everyone should have a baby like ben, he is so sweet and easy. (and he sleeps a lot still.)
matty and his new water wings. this frown did turn into a smile, but the camera died...
jack loves attention. all. the. time. especially when matty is doling it out. this is our little MD checking jack for "ear boogers". (hmmm, where did he learn that??)
these babies (obviously) love to eat. and sweet potatoes are a hit! this baby ALWAYS smiles. a crying jack equals a sleepy or stinky jack.
and while jack squeals in between bites for more, ben is the usual patient one.
4 month (!!!) appointment on wednesday. stay tuned...

sugar moves

first i ate a bunch of frosting...
then i busted out my moves at the fountains in the north end
(i did not hurt myself with said moves)
then i melted down the whole way home
bothers were amused with my angry/sad/hot face. mom? not so much

what a crazy night

first we had our first twin fight
this did not end nice
then matt went to bed without a fight!
(yes, he really fell asleep like this on the balcony)

lather, rinse, repeat. repeat.

sorry to be slow with pictures but it gets quite busy around here...feed, feed, feed. play, play, play. nap, nap. bathe, bathe, bathe...you get the idea.
ready for soccer
me and my soccer buddy john heading to the playground
not tired babies
we love to beat the heat on a blanket in the shade.

rolling

on friday both brothers rolled from tummy-to-back. but who looks proud of himself for mastering the back to tummy roll?
go ben!
this is how they play when i am on an adventure...
..and how they swing when they are hot...
mom even lets me push them carefully.
and i have finally, after two years, overcome my fear of wobbly bridges.
thank you for visitng mema and cheeta!

opposites

always smiles and seriousness.
falls asleep on own
usually ends up on mom's bed for a nap after a snuggle
(although it is opposite at night. jack goes down and ben requires snuggletime)
first bather...
..and second
not loving ben (still. and again)
and loving them both.

summertime

we spend a lot of time at the playground and i finally got to take jack on his first swing ride. he was indifferent to it.
mom and i witnessed this drawbridge on saturday. i had 2,467 questions about how it works and who operates it and where the boats are going. mom knew the answer to everything!
ben having tummy time with dad. he is going to roll over any minute.
jack aka "super sleeping baby" has discovered a new way to pacify himself. mom doesn't care as he sleeps for 8-9 hours at a time. every night. ben on the other hand...we'll getting there.
showing my little brothers how to play trains. i can not wait until they can crawl all over and disrupt my track. mom can.
yesterday we got stuck in a huge rainstorm and had to take shelter under a bridge! i still walked away soaked.
and sure, they look super cute now but soon...
mom! jack is touching my ear! wahhhhhh
this is how dad and i help out in the mornings. (7:45am)
and why am i in mom's spot??
