only 26 days until i become a big brother and help give babies a bath, and feed them and change them. i practice wrapping my dogs in blankets and rocking them gently.

mommy's hoping a little sooner so she can breathe and walk and sleep normally again.

weaning

matty is (finally) being weaned from our bed. so he wants to sleep on his own everywhere. except his bed...

..every night. fine with mom, so long as it works. this is daddy disrupting mommy's progress. (this was OK too as they slept until 8am saturday morning)

this is matty's new stop sign. yes, in front of his door. no, i do not take it personally. in fact, i was quite excited he was playing by himself for a little while...

after a vacation week or skiing, and boating, some snow, a couple of cold beach trips, nice enough weather to play outside a few times, and lots of creative energy burning, mom and dad are ready for a vacation.

Valentines Day

i made my own breakfast yesterday, with a little help from mom. a heart shaped purple pancake (and i did not even realize the prunes turned it purple!)

then daddy took me skiing for the first time.

45 days...

yes, 45 days to go. and as this was typed, i climbed into the crib on my own and jumped up and down 4 times. i think it's funny that daddy is saying "no" (likely because he has never told me no before).

we had our first official "snow day" for our wild blizzard. at least mom motivated so i could make the valentines for my classmates...

we spent a loooong time erecting and destructing my new race track...

and this is me now...after a 5am wake up call, mom is sent to the couch while dad and i slumber all morning. (she would stay if i did not snore like mr. ed)

A quick tip...

it is probably best to avoid bowling when you are 7+ months pregnant with twins. it sure was fun though...especially when the scores looked like this much of the game:
