mastered!

mom mastered the moby wrap and it is actually very comfortable. more so with one babe, but in a bind i can carry (snuggle) them both! ben and jack have both spent some time sleeping in it solo.

they are getting longer...almost as long as me!

i am loving on my little brothers today. this smile is not common when i'm near "the babies".

both are starting to smile a lot when mommy tickles them. ben just yesterday and jack last monday (4/19). she can not capture it on film very well though.

jack is still the fiesty one and ben is still the sleeper. although neither of them sleep much at night these days. mom is working hard trying to fix that...

ben seems to have crazy hair like matty while jack is losing his fuzz. and the baby-stalker lady at CVS calls them "the twins that do not look alike."

managing

this is my brothers not sleeping this morning.
we are doing OK overall. we get to bed late and up two times in the middle of the night and up early, so very tired but so happy!
someone remind us...when do babies sleep for 4 hours at a time? that would be delightful!

bath time with ben (and jack) got a lot easier with this little foam tub insert in the sink. even our big guy fits!

mom even still manages to find the cool kiddie events in town. this is me and hannah haging out with the yo yo man after his show. note: it was way more fun than it looks.

we are all managing to get used to our "new normal." i have even been a great big brother the last few days (with the exception of throwing a pillow on ben this morning) and helping mom and dad a lot.

and it is not her fighting with her lightweight "car" stroller on the grass. so much nicer to push in stroller all over town. no in and out of cars and car seats...

yesterday

i weighed in at 7 lb. 9 oz.

and i weighed a whopping 9 lb. 3 oz!

over a pound each since our last appointment on 4/7. however doctor is still not convinced of mom's super-ness because he told her to bring reinforcements for our vaccination appointment next month..3 shots each in these chubby legs!

a lazy day at playground and the monkey tree is finally in bloom!

i get tired watching the babies. it is hard to be gentle all the time. and no, i am not helping with diapers. who opens boxes like this??!!

tummy time

last wednesday (2 weeks, 1 day) ben weighed a whopping 7 lb 1 oz and jack weighed 6 lb 6 oz. both over birth weight so no more doctor every few days. these days, jack is out-eating ben quite a bit. he also stays awake longer and sleeps for longer stretches. will be exciting to see who is the heavyweight at our appointment next week.
